In accordance with a Japanese government request concerning measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the YIS campus is temporarily closed. We currently expect to reopen on March 30, following our scheduled two-week Spring Break, but will post an update should the situation change.
Although campus is temporarily closed, "school" continues as we engage students with experiences that continue the planned learning program and help them to stay connected with teachers and classmates. These learning experiences offer authentic opportunities to focus on key concepts, knowledge, and skills. They emphasize interaction and creativity, and involve a balance of on-screen and off-screen tasks that help connect to previous learning and the current curriculum. Our Admissions Office will continue to respond to inquiries during the temporary campus closure. However, staff may be working reduced hours. Inquiries are best directed to email@example.com.
