As we reflect on the remarkable celebrations of our 100th year, Yokohama International School is proud to introduce a new initiative that carries our values forward into the future: the Chowa Scholarship Fund!
Launching in the 2026–2027 school year, the Chowa Scholarship Fund will provide need-based financial assistance to students in our community whose families are navigating financial or personal hardship. Rooted in our commitment to equity and inclusion, the fund is designed to help ensure that all students can continue to thrive at YIS—regardless of changing circumstances. While the scholarship itself will begin in the years ahead, we are laying the foundation now, and we invite our community to be part of this important beginning.

Featuring a rich timeline of school history, reflections from generations of Dragons, and heartfelt tributes from across the community, this special book is a celebration of everything that makes YIS unique.
