Peter and the Starcatcher
This fall, over 40 high school students have been hard at work bringing Peter and the Starcatcher to life. Since rehearsals began in August, students have poured their creativity and energy into this production. The play, an imaginative origin story of Peter Pan, is filled with humor, heart, and adventure. It beautifully explores themes of growing up and the limitless possibilities that dreams can inspire, making it a perfect fit for our students at this exciting stage of their lives.
Peter and the Starcatcher is not just a story of pirates and lost boys; it’s a journey into what it means to discover yourself, find your place in the world, and hold onto the magic of dreaming, even as you grow. For the students involved, this production mirrors those themes. They’ve faced challenges together, collaborated creatively, and brought their unique talents to the stage. Each actor, designer, musician, and crew member has learned that every role, no matter how big or small, contributes to the success of the whole.
This play continues our tradition of incorporating live music, building on the success of last year’s musical. Our student musicians are integral to creating the vibrant atmosphere of the show, proving once again the strength and depth of our performing arts program. By working together in such a dynamic and multifaceted production, our students are not just creating a play—they’re helping to build a thriving drama program that will serve future students as well.
