Dear YIS Community,
Following on yesterday’s update regarding the extension of our temporary campus closure and Continuous Learning program, we have prepared a Frequently Asked Questions document covering a range of questions that you may have regarding our decision to extend the temporary campus closure, health and wellness matters, and what will happen when the campus reopens. We will periodically update this document in response to changing circumstances and new developments, and you may refer back to it from links on the Veracross portals, school website or Continuous Learning site.
Included in yesterday’s update was mention of our requirement that anyone who has travelled overseas during the Spring Break maintain self-quarantine for a period of 14 days upon re-entry to Japan before returning to school. The FAQ document includes guidance on what this entails. We are also asking all families who have travelled overseas, including those who may still be outside Japan, to complete a short online questionnaire for the YIS Health Office by Sunday, March 29 to let us know your current status, as well as any questions you may have. The link to the questionnaire is available in the email sent to parents on March 24. (If you have not travelled outside Japan over the break, do not complete the questionnaire.) Any information provided in the questionnaire will be treated in strict confidence.
Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation in helping to protect the health of our school community.
