Award winning author and cartoonist Taiji Utagawa, whose book 『母さんがどんなに僕を嫌いでも』 (No Matter How Much My Mother Hates Me) was made into a movie in 2018 will be on campus Thur., Jan. 30, 11:00 am in the library to speak to parents about LGBTQ+ issues. This inspiring discussion by Mr. Utagawa, who survived child abuse at the hands of his mother resulting from his sexual orientation, is a story of resilience, courage and insight.
Session 1 at 11:00 am will be by Mr. Utagawa for parents. Session 2 at 12:35 pm will be by the YIS LGBTQ/Human Rights Club for parents. This enlightening opportunity is made possible by the PTSA Service committee.
