Elementary Music

Music offers elementary students the opportunity to explore performance, listening, and composition. In the Music program, students are exposed to a wide range of enriching, musical experiences. Through creating music, they use their imagination and draw upon their musical knowledge to arrange sounds in unique ways that communicate specific ideas or emotions. Students have opportunities to respond to different styles of music, discovering and appreciating music from various cultures and time periods. By participating in Music, students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for this art form, while also enhancing their cultural awareness and musical skills.
