Shaping Productive Mathematics Classrooms, Feb. 22 & 23

Yokohama International School is delighted to welcome mathematics educators for a two-day workshop focused on structuring effective and inclusive mathematics classrooms from upper elementary to Grade 12. Led by Zane Latve, international expert in mathematics education, this workshop will guide participants in exploring the Thinking Classroom model, emphasizing inclusivity and engagement in mathematics learning.

Throughout this engaging program, educators will delve into the core principles of creating a Thinking Classroom, examining how these principles can foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that empowers students to develop inquiry skills and deep, conceptual understanding.

Zane Latve brings over 13 years of experience in international education. Currently the Head of Mathematics and Computer Science at Exupery International School in Latvia, Zane has led mathematics programs at Yokohama International School and the International School of Phnom Penh. Her expertise includes promoting inclusive practices through the Building Thinking Classrooms framework, and she has shared her insights at prominent conferences around the world.
