Due to continuing public health concerns, and the Japanese government's decision to extend the national state of emergency, our Continuous Learning Program will be extended until June 12.
These are trying times but we take comfort in knowing that YIS is a close, caring and resilient community. This page will be updated accordingly when news about the COVID-19 situation in Japan that affects the operations of the school is sent by the school to our community. We will also continue to provide updates to our Continuous Learning Program and our COVID-19 Community Support Frequently Asked Questions with any relevant new information. Although we had hoped to reopen the campus on April 13, we have decided to extend the temporary campus closure and our Continuous Learning program until May 11.
We were happy to welcome students back to “school” today after the Spring Break via our Continuous Learning program, although we really miss being together in person.
