Storytellers visit YIS
Posted 09/30/2009 09:22AM

Thanks to generous support from the PTSA, each year the YIS Library is able to invite authors, illustrators, and storytellers to share with our students.  Recently, the Middle School (and one lucky kindergarten class) was visited by Marc Levitt, an American writer and storyteller who worked with students over several days in creating and retelling their own 'third culture' stories.  The ELC and Elementary School then played host to Courtney Campbell, an American storyteller and songwriter who shared some hilarious and inspiring songs and stories.

These visits provide our students with inspirational and lasting educational experiences and are a great example of how the PTSA continues to directly support YIS.  While final details are still being arranged, the new year will bring several more visitors to YIS.  For further details, or to borrow the works of any of our visitors, please visit the YIS Library.
