In 2009 the IB entered into a collaborative agreement with Pamoja Education, Ltd. to develop and deliver Diploma Program (DP) courses online for students enrolled in IB World Schools, and DP students from YIS and other IB schools have had the option of taking those online courses since that time. Looking to extend such opportunities to include non-IB students who wish to take DP courses online, the IB recently launched the IB Open World School pilot program. YIS is one of four schools worldwide participating in the program as Open World Schools.
Under this initiative, Pamoja Education remains responsible for the delivery of the curriculum using a trained IBDP teacher, and YIS, as an Open World School, is responsible for linking up with those schools in the Asia Pacific region interested in having their students participate in this venture. YIS will support students and collaborate with Link (non IB) schools in a variety of ways. Enrolled students will obtain support from the YIS site-based coordinator and will sit the exams as do other IB students.

２００９年、国際バカロレア機構（IB）は、Pamoja Education Ltd.と共同し、IB校に通う学生のためのオンラインのディプロマ・プログラム（DP）を開発・提供することに合意しました。以来、本校や他のIB校のDPを選択している学生は、このようなオンラインでのコースを選択することができるようになりました。IB校に通っていない学生でもDPをオンラインで取得することができるように、IBはIB Open World Schoolプログラムを試験的に立ち上げました。本校は、世界で4校あるOpen World Schoolの1校として参加しています。
