For Elementary School Students, 'Summer's Cool'

Two weeklong sessions of a balanced and engaging program  

Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Here at YIS, 'Summer's Cool' is focused on working toward pre-identified learning goals in small classes with an outstanding student to teacher ratio. Using indivudual information collected before the start of the program, teachers focus on key areas to improve, providing invaluable support to solidify and extend existing knowledge so each student improves.

Parents are given the opportunity to select an extra class in Math or Language Arts for their child and as teachers are aware of students' individual learning goals, they work toward building the confidence and knowledge students need to thrive in the classroom.

As an integral component of the program (and included in the tuition), Zest Catering will provide a nutritionally balanced diet of healthy snacks and small meals designed to optimize students' energy levels throughout each day of fun and learning. Please see the menus for Week 1 and Week 2.

Our program revolves around a healthy balance of academic, creative, artistic and athletic activities, all held here on the YIS campus by qualified staff eager to make this an outstanding and fun summer of learning, engaging activities, and growth for your child.

For Middle and High School Students

Two weeklong sessions for improvement in Math and English 

Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 2:30 pm

Our Middle and High School Summer Program offers the opportunity for students to improve in key areas of Math and English.

During two weeklong sessions, each course will be held five days a week for two hours. Students are encouraged to take each course for the full two weeks in order to maximize the benefits of the program. However, courses may be taken for just one weeklong session.

Students taking Individualized English Enrichment (IEE) and/or Individualized Math Enrichment (IME) work toward specific and attainable goals set by instructors in collaboration with the students prior to the beginning of the course, and which are intended to ensure that students improve in key areas.

Secondary Program Fees:

Per Course per week
¥40,000 if registration completed June 1 or later

Cancellation Policy: If the applicant cancels enrollment for any reason after registration and before the start of the course, tuition fees will be refunded minus a cancellation charge equal to the cost of any registered course(s) up to a maximum of ¥50,000. There is no cancellation once the course has begun. If courses are cancelled by YIS for any reason, tuition fees will be fully refunded.
